RoFix began with TopTow, a CRM company founded in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2022 to help roadside assistance businesses strengthen their digital presence and build better customer relationships. While creating tools for service providers, we uncovered a much bigger challenge in Canada’s roadside assistance industry: drivers had no reliable way to connect with providers in real time when emergencies struck. Today, most drivers still have to call for roadside assistance, which often means calling multiple locations, sitting on hold, repeating the same information, facing unclear wait times, and getting hit with surprise costs. That insight shifted our focus from digital support to solving a critical problem in the field. Through TopTow, we gained firsthand experience, deep industry knowledge, and built strong partnerships with towing and roadside assistance companies across Canada, relationships that now serve as the foundation for RoFix.
